Ten Months!

Dearest Baby,
Today you are ten months old! We have entered the double digits....how can that be! I am so thankful for your precious life and the past ten months that we have had together. I have never known someone so well in such a short period of time, but then again I have never spent so much time with someone either! I feel almost naked when you are not with me, because I have grown so accustomed to having you by my side. How is it that in just ten short months you could become so familiar, so second nature, so much a part of me? I have no idea, but I am so thankful. You have created in me a new tenderness and I will never again be the same.

Over the past month you have really come into your own and are developing more of your own personality and strong will everyday. You have learned how to communicate likes and dislikes very well (some of which we'll have to be working on, arching back and flinging arms especially)! It's been so much fun to watch you figure things out and explore more and more. You are crawling around all over the place, very much interested in everything (especially those things that are not "Hannah Cate's toys"). You are pulling up on everything and figuring out how to get to things that had previously been unreachable. You can take steps when holding onto our hands and go from one room to the next before tiring out. You love books and your lovies (Theo and Prissy) and your paci. You have started drinking water from a sippy cup and eating a few finger foods like Cheerios. You can wave (hello and goodbye) and still give out slobbery kisses (when you want to). You kick your legs and wave your arms when you hear music and sometimes even throw in a few of your own unique dance moves. Your favorite song is Ole MacDonald and it's my go-to when we are driving in the car and you get fussy.....it quiets you upon the first word. You continue to be an easy and go with the flow baby, but we've learned you do have your limits and we kindly try to not push it!

I still look at you and have to remind myself that you are really mine. I am so proud of you and am so thankful that the Lord chose you to be ours. As we get closer and closer to the day you were born, I just find myself in amazement at how far we have come as a little family of three. I wouldn't have life any other way than with your Daddy and you by my side.

I love you more than I ever imagined and more than you could ever possibly know,

Mama
